Healthy Recipes That Are Actually Edible

We all want to eat healthier, go on crazy diets to get leaner and thinner, bla bla bla. It's nothing new. But a lot of the time when we go on these diets or on 'new years resolutions to be healthy' we end up giving up half way because it just isn't sustainable. A healthy lifestyle is just that–a lifestyle. It starts from the way that you think.

I mean let's be real here, you can't go from burgers and fries to avocado toast and kale in a day or overnight. Baby steps are key to changing a lifestyle. Look for everyday substitutes to what you usually eat. Most important of all, listen to your body. The way that I've treated eating healthy is less of wanting to get skinny and counting calories but more of putting better stuff and nutrition into my body.

I've been reading a couple different books with recipes that are healthy, delicious, and fulfilling (let's not forget these need to be easy cause y'all know I'm a lazy cook). So far my favourites are Lean in 15 by Joe Wicks, Eat Beautiful by Wendy Rowe, Itsu 20 Minute Suppers, and if all else fails, Pinterest is always great. Here are my favourite recipes (click on images for recipe):

As with any other recipe, I really encourage you to modify it and make it work for you and your budget. Not all of the ingredients used in these recipes are readily available or easy to find even for me so in these cases I would look for more accessible alternatives and try not to sacrifice nutrition too much. Good luck and I hope you can find these helpful!
